The Rutland FM1803 Wind Generator is great for power at a remote site or to work alongside your mains electricity as Grid-tie or Off-grid wind turbine applications. The Rutland FM1803 wind turbine is capable of generating electricity even in low wind speeds and has the benefit of low start up wind speed of just 3m/s. This makes for a more generative and powerful wind turbine throughout the year while the furling tail protects the turbine against strong wind speeds assuring a long life.
The stored electrical energy can then be used for powering appliances such as low energy light bulbs, fridges, computers, TVs and generally slightly higher powered electrical equipment with the relevant inverter.
The Rutland FM1803 Wind Generator comes with a charge controller which protects batteries from overcharging. The MPC1 charge controller box has a digital information display for user information and optimizes the performance of the turbine to generate more power into the battery according to conditions which it does by switching the power ratios between high and low wind speed modes.
