The Solar Mate 3 lighting kit charges a 12V battery during the day in order to power 2 fluorescent lights at night. Ideal for providing lighting where there is no access to the mains electricity for example when you are away in your caravan or require extra lighting in your workshop, shed or garage.
Either install the high powered solar panel as a free-standing structure or simply fix to the roof using the connections and follow the instructions provided. Once installed you can either power the 2 fluorescent lights directly or power 240V appliances using an inverter.
The mains free lighting kit comes complete with a voltage regulator to protect the battery from over charging during daylight hours but you will need to purchase a 12V battery which is not included with this kit.
