New HRDX Regulator incorporates the latest Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology to regulate battery voltage preventing overcharge in the same way as the HRS type regulators with additional features for battery management, monitoring and ease of installation. The built-in charge splitter facilitates charging 2 separate sets of batteries.
The charge source shutdown switch will stop the windcharger from running and solar panel from generating power. This should only be activated in low wind conditions or by slowing the turbine to an idle first. A solar panel with a maximum rating up to 100W may be connected in parallel with the windcharger via a built in terminal. NB. a blocking diode must be fitted to the solar panel to prevent it from drawing current from the windcharger.
The HRDX regulator was designed for use with the Rutland 504, 913 and FM910-3 Windchargers. The selectable LCD readout display makes it easy to see your battery output and settings.
