The green power senior educational wind turbine and solar panel kit features the most popular Rutland 913 wind turbine, and is a more powerful version of the green power junior kit. It is intended for permanent installation and ideally suited for a educational resource for schools, colleges and universities.
The senior renewable energy educational kit teaches the principles behind generating electricity from wind and solar power. Students will gain a hands on approach to the theory behind the science and technology of green energy.
The following items are included in the Senior package:
- Rutland 913 wind turbine
- 60W photovoltaic solar panel
- Senior power monitor
- 2 x 70Ah 12V batteries
- Solar panel mounting kit
- 50m cable, connectors and battery terminals
It is important to note that the green power senior kit does not come with any mounting or rigging. We recommend mounting the 913 turbine on top of the 913 tower kit which is secured into place using the 913 rigging kit.
Alternatively, you can source your own mounting structure and use either a 913 steel tube 600mm or 913 steel tube 1200mm to mount the turbine on top of your structure of choice.
