The Junior green power educational system is a great starter kit to teach the basic principles of generating electricity from wind and solar resources.
This 'entry level' teaching kit provides the first steps to learning about renewable energy and has been designed to teach towards a junior audience, ideal for schools and eco-friendly demonstration centres.
The green educational kit provides an interactive environment which offers practical hands on experience of wind and solar energy. The energy generated can then be used to power energy lamps, pumps or through inverters to convert the power to 240V AC for household electrical items.
The power monitor displays all data allowing students to carry out further analysis helping support the theory and education of the principles of green energy.
Included in the Junior power kit are the following items:
- Rutland 504 wind turbine
- 30 Watt solar photovoltaic panel
- Junior power monitor
- 70Ah 12V battery
- Solar panel mounting kit
- 50m cable, connectors and battery terminals
It is important to note that the green power junior kit does not come with any mounting or rigging. We recommend mounting the 504 turbine on top of the 504 tower kit which is secured into place using the 504 rigging kit.
Alternatively, you can source your own mounting structure and use either a 504 steel tube 500mm or 504 steel tube 1000mm to mount the turbine on top of your structure of choice.
We also offer extras for making the most of your renewable energy system such as inverters and additional batteries.
