The Green Power Graduate Kit is the next step up from the senior teaching kit allowing students to practice measuring and monitoring data collected from the wind turbine and solar panel.
The graduate package includes all items in the senior kit plus some additional extras:
- Rutland 913 wind turbine
- 60W photovoltaic solar panel
- Graduate power monitor
- 2 x 70Ah batteries
- Solar panel mounting kit
- 50m cable, connectors and battery terminals
- Weather sensors
- Datalogging software
- Cables and connections for data and computer links
All of the data collected from using the green power graduate kit can be presented in graph or tabular form for export to Excel for further analysis. The easy to install software is supplied in Windows format; Cables and Connections for data and computer links are included.

Kit Arrives
The graduate kit comes neatly packaged in one container with the solar panel placed on top.
Please note: The container is VERY heavy and we recommend the unloading of each item individually rather than attempting to move the whole package at once!
Graduate Kit Extras
- Weather sensors - Anemometer, air temperature and solar irradiation sensors with fixing brackets and data cable.

Graduate Power Monitor
The graduate power monitor with built-in pre-calibrated signal conditioning A to D converter for direct connection to any PC parallel port. A minimum 386 computer is required.
Solar Panel
A 60 Watt photovoltaic solar panel is received as part of the graduate kit.
Computer Software
Data logging software for recording and display of wind speed, light levels, temperature, wind turbine charge current, solar panel charge current, load current and battery voltage.
It is important to note that the green power graduate kit does not come with any mounting or rigging. We recommend mounting the 913 turbine on top of the 913 tower kit which is secured into place using the 913 rigging kit.
Alternatively, you can source your own mounting structure and use either a 913 steel tube 600mm or 913 steel tube 1200mm to mount the turbine on top of your structure of choice.
