Savawatt - Sava Plug

Please note that the Sava Plug products available are ex-demonstration models as this line is no longer in production. As with most demonstration models packaging is not always included. Please see below for installation instructions.

By simply replacing your fridge's plug with the easy to install SavaPlug you can reduce its electricity requirements by up to 20%...that's approx £12 per year.

Once the thermostat on the fridge goes below a certain temperature it turns on a motor to pump refrigerant around the appliance. This motor runs unnecessarily on full power. The SavaPlug limits this surge to match the fridge's actual requirements thereby saving electricity.

How It Works Step By Step

Savaplug arrives

The kit arrives containing: SavaPlug and easy instructions.

Please note that the ex-demonstration models may not come with instructions, please see below for installation guidance. As the company supplying the SavaPlug is no longer, Wind Trap will offer our returns/refund policy. Please see our terms and conditions for further information.

Locate fridge

Locate your fridge you wish to install the Savaplug on.

Remove old plug

Remove plug from your fridge. Either unscrew the plug (if possible) or cut through the wires. Plug must be unplugged when you do this!!

Unscrew Savaplug

Remove the front from the SavaPlug by using a screwdriver to remove the screw from the back.

Trim wires

Trim wires if necessary and line up as indicated in the enclosed instructions.

Wire up

Wire up the SavaPlug as you would with an ordinary plug.

Plug Savaplug into wall socket

All that's left to do is to plug it in and switch on at the wall.
You'll know you're saving electricity when the red light glows.
Important Notes
- If in doubt about any of the instructions given when you receive the Savaplug please consult an electrician.
- Remember that whilst you're changing the plug, your fridge will be getting warmer. Don't rush the job but don't take too long either.
- The product comes with an initial 1 year guarantee which can then be increased to 10 years by completing and returning the enclosed guarantee card.
