Efficient solution for all enthusiasts of wind power.
Our 12v mid-range turbine kit includes all the elements that will help you on your way to generating your own electricity...much more then our budget kits.
Our systems comprise of 6 major parts (as shown below). We have hand-picked a compatible piece of equipment for each part. This means that the system has the best parts available for the price.
It also means that there are no real bottle necks, meaning that you're not paying for a component that is being held back by the rest of the system.

The Rutland 913 is a small turbine that is capable of producing 250w (This could continuously power approx 22 energy saving lightbulbs).
However, as the energy is going to be stored in a battery you can save this up and use it on higher power equipment.
We have provided a 1.2m steel tube that can be used to mount the turbine on a suitable mounting pole/rig.
Please note: Because we have no control over how and where turbines are mounted it is your responsibility to ensure that turbines are mounted on suitable structures and in a responsible fashion. For this reason we do not include any mounting brackets or additional mounting poles to attach to your structure (the only things that you'll need but that aren't included).
However, these can be picked up easily from any hardware store.
This kits comes with 10m of cable that runs between the turbine and the regulator.
Depending on your setup we can supply you with additional lengths of cable to run between the regulator/battery/inverter although ordinarily these should be placed together and won't need additional cable.
Please note: We don't recommend more than 10m between the turbine and the regulator otherwise the system will become very inefficient. (DC voltage reduces through the cable's natural resistance).
The HRSi913 is specifically designed for use with the turbine in this kit (Rutland 913).
It's the regulator's job to ensure that the battery is charged correctly and safely. It also prevents overcharge of the battery and slows the turbine down as the batteries become fully charged.
The battery we've chosen for this system is an AGM 100. If you're technically minded this means that it is an Absorbed Glass Mat battery with a 100 Amp hour rating. If you're not, basically it means that it's a robust, maintenance-free battery that is capable of storing a medium amount of charge.
To give you an idea of how much power it can store, if it was fully charged it could power five energy-saving lightbulbs for approx 22 hours.
Battery Clips also included.
The inverter's job is to turn the DC current in to AC current that powers household appliances.
To ensure that the battery isn't depleted too quickly, we've chosen a 1000W inverter for this system.
This means that you can plug in appliances upto 1000w (1kW). Examples of these include: Stereo, Kettle, Microwave, Toaster, Iron, Vacuum Cleaner (please check appliance power ratings) or it could be hooked in to a lighting ring to power up to 90 energy-saving lightbulbs (although this wouldn't be sustainable).
We also provide you with simple, easy-to-follow instructions in plain english to help you set up your system.
As mentioned previously the only thing we don't include are the mounting brackets and additional mounting poles for your home turbine kit.
Why? Because we have no control over where and how you site your kit, we cannot take responsibility for any mounting-related problems that may occur.
