Temporary Wind Turbines shouldn't require planning permission. However, we do recommend that you contact your local planning authority before erecting your turbine.

If you're planning to erect your turbine on a permanent basis then you will need to apply to your local planning authority to gain permission.
However, due to the recent introduction of the national Planning Policy Statement 22 (PPS22) your local authourity should "promote and encourage" the development of renewable energy resources.
